    phildapill85, you will find most people in the diy community will give you a hand up since none of us got to do anything without the help of others. It can become a problem if you are going to lie about what you are using it for and making money off someone elses work. Otherwise, the golden rule prevails.

    No, I use Mastercam from the community college where I live (I got my certification there)
    and save it in my flash drive. There is a post processor for Mach online, and Mastercam will automatically update it to whatever version you use.

    You set the cutting length of yours axis in the config menu. Then you assign ports and pins.
    They have pretty good documentation, and when you’re stuck, they have great support frm the Yahoo group, or the CNC Zone group. Best support out there
    Mack is a controller though it does have “wizards” for various functions, and a beta
    cam program called lazycam. But if you want
    to do copmplex stuff without writing thousands of lines of code, you have to get a good cam-
    ware.
