Plasma Cutting Robot from Industrial Robotic Solutions

This video shows a sample of cutting flat plate with a Kuka plasma cutting robot. The plasma cutter used is a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 151. We are holding .030 tolerances. Tighter tolerances can be held using a Kuka HA (High Aaccuracy) robot. We are also regulating torch height through the robot. A water bed is available (not shown in video) to capture dust and smoke. Visit http://www.industrialroboticsolutions.com for details or call us toll free at (866)571-1066. We have a full line of welding robots also available.

Tracker CNC Automatic Plasma Torch Height Control System

This video shows the speed and accuracy of Tracker THC, or Automatic Torch Height Control System.
The material is aluminum and it has been broken on the press break many times to create a “washboard” effect. The Tracker plasma table will cut a continuous spiral and the THC system will maintain a consistant torch height over all the peaks and valleys.
Although this is demo is a little extreme, Tracker’s THC system is so easy to use that anyone can accomplish this.

CNC Plasma Homebuilt Machine

This is my Homebuilt CNC Plasma that I built a year ago.
I designed it myself after looking at lots of other designs on the ‘Net.
I took several ideas from different machines as well as a lot of my own ideas.
I also did all the electronics and wiring myself.
It cuts over a Water table to keep the parts cool and also to reduce the nasty Plasma dust.
I originally built the machine as a CNC Wood Router, and it worked really well in that configuration but I later decided to convert it to a CNC Plasma machine.
It runs a Hypertherm 1000 Powermax Plasma Cutter and has a THC300 Torch Height Control.
Here it is cutting 1.5mm (16swg) 304 Stainless Steel.
